Graphic, Web and UI Design Freebies of the Week No. 2

I've got some a sweet digital freebies list for you this week. I'm not sure which resource is my favorite. It's really difficult to choose! The scalloped shapes are on top of my list, in addition to the vintage paper scans. I don't think I will ever fall out of love with old paper and things that have had some wear & tear. Enjoy!

Gorgeous Free Blogger Templates for Building a Professional Web Presence

Presentation is key when making a first impression in the business world.  If you're running your company on a budget, you've likely chosen blogger. Not only is blogger free, but it is a lot less maintenance than a self hosted wordpress blog or custom built shopping cart. There are no script updates or security vulnerabilities to worry about. When you log into your dashboard you can focus on blogging instead of what needs to be taken care of to keep your site up to date. In the past, one of the downfalls of blogger was that there was a lack of professional themes available to customize your blog. This is no longer the case!

How to Make a Color Palette from a Photo in Photoshop

Have you ever made a palette from a photo on ColourLovers? This tutorial is somewhat along the lines of that and it's really easy! This works great for grabbing colors of a header or etsy banner to make a web design that matches the colors in the image.

Tutorial - Coloring Design Resources in Pixlr

I recently had an inquiry as to if I could colorize some of my design resources for a customer who does not have photoshop and does not use gimp. She stated that she's using pixlr as an image editor and wasn't sure if she could do this in pixlr.  After giving it a whirl I decided to write a tutorial on it so users would know how to do it.
